Play Therapy
(In-office only)
Play therapy is a research backed modality of therapy for children between the ages of 3 and 12. Verbal expression is difficult for our youngest clients. Play serves as a child’s language and toys are their words. In the playroom, children can learn to express themselves more fully, learn more adaptive coping skills and make behavioral changes, develop social skills and build self-confidence and problem-solving skills.
Talk Therapy
(In-Person and Virtual)
Children and teens face unique pressures in today’s world. Therapy can help them develop coping skills that can be used for a lifetime. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, in a client centered, creative environment. Therapy can be intimidating and my goal is to create a supportive environment that is comfortable and casual where your children can feel free to be themselves.
Parent Consultation and Training
(In-Office and Virtual)
One of the most important factors in a child’s development is a secure attachment between a parent or caregiver and a child. With that in mind, I offer parent only sessions to assist to help parent’s manage the stress that can accompany parenting. In addition, I offer Child Parent Relationship Therapy which is structured program that helps parents learn to respond more effectively to their child’s emotional and behavioral needs.
